All About Calliope's Polymer

 

Calliope’s Polymer came to be after I retired from 43 years of teaching and wanted to learn some new skills.  A polymer artist at my condo was teaching classes and I was hooked with the first class. I love to make polymer creatures, polymer jewelry, and learn new polymer techniques.

 

All of the pieces are made by one artist, me, Patricia Keefe. I use sculpting clay in my creations and cook it in a convection oven I use only for crafts and not cooking.

 

I have been a writer for a number of years.  I write short stories, poetry, non-fiction articles, one novel, and sell writing lesson plans online.  I have always enjoyed art and after retirement it became my new hobby. Calliope has been my writing muse for over 60 years and is now my muse for creativity in creating jewelry.  So I decided to name my Polymer Art store after her.

 

My products include creative polymer creatures which are collectible and polymer jewelry collections which are unique and one of a kind. I make necklaces, pendants, earrings, and create unique designs using a variety of polymer clay techniques.
